2001:
- The Red Point Company is founded as a provider of software solutions for business management.
- The Company is founded at the initiative of Alexandru Uglea and Elvis Ciocoiu and begins its activity with a number of 6 employees.
2002:
- The Company starts developing the Roads application, a management acquisition application, shaped according to the characteristics and needs of the National Railway Company. The development lasted until the autumn of 2002, when the application was implemented in all of the company�s branches.
- ISO 9001/2000 certification is obtained.
- A nucleus was created for the research and implementation of a J2ee technology prototype, a web-based application for project management. This was the first investment that the Company made in specific enterprise technologies, the expertise being used later for the development of the University Management System.
- The development of the Routes application begins; it was a unique system destined especially for the CNCFR according to the structure of this company. It is the moment when the development teams from The Red Point and the CNCFR begin to collaborate in order to develop new modules and to continually improve the existing ones.
- The creation team refines the first identity version of The Red Point and the very first variant of the website; the Company�s slogan is �new software definition�.
- The experience accumulated with J2EE becomes mature with the University Management System product, a solution aimed at managing, assimilating and harmonizing the specific processes of the university management. At the level of the company, J2ee is established to be the official enterprise technology.
- A concrete client of the University Management System is �Petre Andrei� University. The products� functions start to be flexible enough to adapt to the reality of the client.
- During the whole year of 2003, The Red Point begins consolidating and training a SAP consultancy team and therefore at the end of the year, a complete structure allows starting the implementation in benefit of the client.
- The implementation of SAP R/3 4.6 C begins at Electrica Dobrogea SA, as a subcontractor of the Iași Radix Company, now called Ness Romania. The company�s involvement in this project consisted in the implementation of the FI, PM, CS and AA modules and it lasted between November 2003 and February 2004.
- In September, the creation team becomes a distinctive part of the company, becoming a creation workroom, with distinct identity and legal personality- Red Studio. The Red Point remains the first and the most important client of the agency.
- The Red Point becomes partner of the SAP firm as "System Reseller". The partnership recognizes the company�s capacity and right to sell the SAP products and to deliver complete consultancy services, implementation and support for the SAP scale of products.
- The two important projects of SAP solution implementing are put into practice at ASAM SA from Iași and, as subcontractor of Radix Company Iași, at the Radio system Romanian Society.
- The Company certifies the first project management consultants.
- The first implementation of the University Management System solution takes place at the �1 Decembrie 1918� University from Alba Iulia; on this occasion, the first implementation team is being formed in addition to the development teams.
- The implementation of the first University Management System solution at the �Ovidius� University of Constanța places the company as challenger in the field of university instruction management systems.
- The data archiving process and the SAP R/3 denomination are successfully finalized at DEDEMAN Company from Bacău.
- The collaboration with Siveco Romania begins, by providing the first development team work for the SIUI Romania project.
- Major changes are implemented at the level of management and business vision- in July Alexandru Uglea becomes Administrator and General Director.
- The Academis project starts, in partnership with SAP, by integrating the economic element SAP ERP All-in-One with the University Management System solution.
- The quality management system is certified again following the audit from the second half of the year.
- Two more projects SAP implementation are stated: Ambient Sibiu and the Romanian Lottery (as a subcontractor of Intrarom);
- The UMS clients� portfolio is extended (that reaches 8 important universities in 2006) and this determines the growth of the development and implementation teams, the introduction of internal and communicational procedures and the improvement of implementation methodologies.
- On an average development level, new elements are being introduced, that are to ensure an increased level of quality for the development, testing and deploying processes. Consequently, University Management System products are being reoriented, Routes and a new development pattern valid for the new products was defined:
- Common functions for the environmental enterprise are isolated in different projects and they were documented and promoted at company level.
- MAVEN2 is introduced as a project management instrument.
- A continuous integration platform and nightly builds is being integrated.
- The access to releases through deploy on Company�s official repositories is being provided.
- Instruments of issues management (bugzilla, jira, trac) are promoted and offered to be used.
- The development of unit tests is being introduced and stimulated.
- On the whole, the quality of de development process was greatly improved.
- Due to the successes obtained as SAP partner, in August, The Red Point becomes partner of the SAP Gold in Romania. This statute is the highest partnership level within the SAP Partner Edge program and it is the result of the fulfillment of rigorous conditions; consequently, it offers a large range of benefits.
- The use of dynamic project management methods was encouraged. The first beneficiary project was the University Management System, where an iterative approach, feature based was adopted. For intermediary feedback, development test snapshots are delivered to clients.
- The process of redefining the Company�s identity that was initiated at the end of 2006 is finalized; the Company benefits from a new identity and an improved online component.
- SAP Implementation at the Umbrărescu Grup from Adjud � for the very first time, PM/CS and HR salary components are being implemented.
- The Ambient Group with de social headquarters in Sibiu chooses to implement mySAP ERP solution in all of the 11 headquarters existent in Romania.
- The University from București chooses The Red Point to be the partner for the implementation of the UMS solution.
- A new partnership for East Europe is initiated with two of the most important consultants on European railway traffic problems: Systra and SNCF International.
- TRP joins the project entitled �Consolidation of the reorganization process of Romanian railway. Technical assistance for the travelers� timetable�. The subcontractor is Louis Berger SAS, member in the consortium formed by Systra and SNCF International.
- The Company experiences a superior level of outsourcing, providing analysis and consultancy in the acceptance phase of the SIUI project, for modules developed with the Siveco teams at CNAS.
- A partnership with �People and Companies� is concluded; this company from Iași, specialized in direct communication provides The Red Point with personalized services, PR consultancy and direct communication for the university environment.
- Starting with October, the implementation of strategic changes in the organizational structure is initiated; this determines the establishment of new departments (research- development, HR, Projects) and the re-definition of future strategies for existing departments.
- Academis becomes the only Romanian solution certified by SAP AG as a solution dedicated to the educational management.
- The official release of the Academis solution takes place in December, during the event �Education Modern Management�.
- The first two projects for Academis implementation at the �Dunărea de Jos� University from Galați and Codecs from Bucharest;
- The Company ends 2007 with a turnover of almost �3 million and a number of 97 employees.
- By the end of February, the implementing process of the mySAP ERP software solution completes within the UMB Group from Adjud;
- During the first 4 months of the year, another series of important projects for the implementation of mySAP ERP software solution is finalized: PresCom, Styropan SRL, Buzău, Styropan Vest SRL, Arad and Ambient.
- Vel Pitar SA, the most important bakery producer from Romania chooses The Red Point to implement the ERP type integrated computational solution . The project begins in April 2008 and is expected to continue until January 2009.

- The Company becomes partner of the Ministry of Education and Research within the project �Training for counselors and assistants and support in implementing the decentralizing Strategy in undergraduate education�, a project that was financed with funds.
- A new version of Magnon, document and workflow management is being perfected now. This version refers to the web based user interface, the improved and completed workflow, the full functional documents store (viewing, locking, and security) and compatibility with SAP, MS Office and Windows operative system.
- The Agile Scrum was adopted methodology, its first beneficiary being the Magnon product. In this way, the evolution of the team�s expertise is stimulated and so is the quality and high stability of the product. The methodology was also introduced within the process of development of the UMS product.
- The business strategy implies some changes in the organizational structure of The Red Point. As such, Alexandru Uglea becomes the CEO of the company. The Technical Department is coordinated by Elvis Ciocoiu (CTO), while the Commercial Department is coordinated by Marius Isac (CCO). Ovidiu Biciin joins the managerial team as COO as well as leader of the Operational Department.
